The Read for Action Book Club brings people together to discuss books relevant to the challenges facing today’s world and positive social impact. Hosted by Katie Ogilvie and Fanny Nørgaard, the book club provides a space for people keen to discuss issues from climate change, to identity politics, to the role of aid in development.

Each month we have a discussion theme/question linked to a specific book. In addition to the chosen book, we encourage people to talk about other books, articles or documentaries relevant to the theme. Katie and Fanny both studied international relations and politics during their university careers and since moving to Paris have invested a lot of time in voluntary work for positive social impact. They truly believe the more we talk and inform ourselves about cultural, economic, social and environmental issues, the better our world will be.

The Read for Action Book Club will be held on the 2nd Sunday of every month from 18h-20h at Shakespeare&Co (free but willing to accept donations for Serve the City Paris).
