Serve The City created a \u2018flash mob\u2019 to protest what is happening in Paris with the government moving the homeless outside the P\u00e9riph\u00e9rique during the Olympic games. A group of STCP volunteers put on the Les Mis\u00e9rables costumes and sang the song \u201cCan you hear the people sign\u201d from the play \u201cLes Mis\u00e9rables\u201d, which represents a time in France where there was a disparity between the king\/government and poor\/homeless citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, there are similarities to what France is experiencing today with anti-immigration and the way the homeless are being treated during the Olympics. Singing in the streets and a video was also created for social media purposes to raise awareness in Paris so the tourists here for the Olympics get the whole story.. \u201cA protest through music\u201d!<\/span><\/p>\n
