We are thrilled to share that Serve the City Paris has received the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Quality Label! This is a big step forward that we have been working on for nearly two years.
The Quality Label is given by the European Union to organizations that run safe, high-quality volunteer projects. It shows that STC Paris is now officially recognized by the EU for the great work we do with volunteers.
Thanks to this label, we can now host international full-time volunteers called the Solidarity Corps. These young people come from across Europe and are fully paid by the EU while they volunteer in our community. Our first volunteer will arrive on July 1st and stay for 8 months. This is a new and exciting chapter for STC Paris, and it also means we have a better chance of getting more support and funding from the EU in the future.
We’re proud to join Serve The City International other Serve the City cities like Brussels and Portugal, that already have this label. A big thank you to everyone who helped us reach this point — and bienvenue to our first Solidarity Corps volunteer!
