DISTRIBUTE FOOD TO REFUGEES & HOMELESS IN PARIS ON BIKES WITH INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERS
For this event, please remember to register HERE:
Every Saturday at 10am, join a group of volunteers who ride bikes together to distribute a surplus of food (all food is provided by Serve the City Paris) to people in need, around the streets in Paris.
We meet at Albert Schweitzer Parc (10 rue de l’Hôtel de Ville. Paris 75004). Before distributing food, we socialize together as an international community of volunteers. Then we pack the food in our bags, jump on our bikes, and deliver food to the homeless and refugees around Paris. The whole activity takes 2 hours maximum.
If you don’t have a bike, there is a VELIB station (https://www.velib-metropole.fr) just in front of Parc Albert Schweitzer.
After delivering food, meet us back at the park for more S.E.R.V.E. activites (Saturday Engage & Reunite Volunteer Events) scheduled until 2pm. S.E.R.V.E activities include our French Language Exchange, our Welcome to Paris Clinic for refugees and new volunteers to Paris at 12 noon, and a integration potluck picnic and games, starting at 1pm.
If you haven’t registered as a volunteer, please follow the following steps:
1) If you are new, please first fill out a volunteer registration form: https://www.servethecity.paris/become-a-volunteer/.
2) Then you will be prompted to pay the 20 Euro donation to participate in all our regular STCP volunteer activities. Once the 20 Euro donation is paid, a link to sign up for various activities will be provided. (You can view all our activities at https://www.servethecity.paris/programs/)
3) We also ask all our new volunteers to take at least one S.A.V.E. volunteer training workshop before volunteering. A schedule of workshops is provided along with the volunteer activity signup sheet on our website at: https://www.servethecity.paris/current-volunteer-events/
Alternatively, you can join S.A.V.E. network! As a SAVE member, there is a 75 Euro membership fee and you have access to all weekly workshops every month, SAVE member-only volunteer activities (such as visiting refugee camps, teaching French or English to refugees, participating in our soup kitchen, our Welcome to France Clinic for refugees, and our Social Tours program). Most importantly, find your unique purpose through the journey of working on social impact projects and collaborating with other SAVE members using our S.A.V.E. methodology and collaboration platform.
