Serve the City Paris Workshop Series Presents…

A Workshop on Gender Equality
Friday, June 23rd at 19h until 20:30 CET

…at Columbia University Paris Campus, 4 Rue de Chevreuse, 75006 Paris, France

Join Wade Channel, visiting from Washington D.C, in an interactive workshop to discuss gender equality and how it effects all of us on personal, national, and global levels.

This 90-minute interactive workshop will increase our understanding of the promise of equality and perils of inequality.  We will dive into how gender roles and definitions affect each of us, the costs of inequality and benefits of equality, and how we can make the changes that will change the status quo for the better.

This workshop will not only address issues affecting women, but will also examine the damage that gender inequality causes to men.

Your Facilitator:
Wade Channell is a gender-specialist, with over 30 years in legal reform and gender equality, working for the U.S. Agency for International Development in more than 60 countries. Wade concentrated on promoting women’s economic empowerment and equality, and was the technical leader of the U.S Government’s multi-agency Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative.  Wade also had the privilege of teaching development courses at George Washington University, George Mason University, and the University of Maryland, as well as giving talks at Georgetown, American, Catholic, Harvard, West Point, Texas A&M, and Columbia Universities.
