Join us at Serve the City Paris, an English-speaking association focused on humanitarian issues and helping the marginalised in Paris.   Every week we provide necessities to those living on the streets, as well as opportunities for education, connection and transformation to young immigrant & refugee communities.  

We are always looking for an organised and proactive person who has a genuine passion for helping people in need, to join our Leadership Team as a Program Coordinator for our Programs at Serve The City Paris.

What is the Serve The City Leadership Team?

All programs with Serve The City Paris (STCP) are all ran by group of Leaders.  Depending on the time of year and the needs for certain programs, the STCP Leadership Team consists of 9-11 volunteers who have time to lead, organize, and report on the different social impact programs we offer.  Current positions are:

  1. Marketing & Communications (social media), and Graphic Art
  2. Administration (incoming emails and scheduling of resources)
  3. Finance
  4. Food Distribution
  5. Language & Cultural Exchange
  6. The S.A.V.E. Program
  7. CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)
  8. Event Management
  9. Weekend Soup Kitchen
  10. Partnerships, Grants & Proposals   
  11. Tech Support (ServeNow app & Salesforce.com)

All Leadership Team members are required to work on their programs or responsibilities a minimum of 10-15 hours a week (which includes a group team meeting each Tuesday for 2 hours a week). We also ask each Leadership team member to hold the position for a minimum of 6 months duration.  The positions on the STCP Leadership Team are not paid, but you may be eligible for Service Civique (€600 p/month).

Other responsibilities could include:

  • Attend the majority of STCP weekly volunteer activities.
  • Help ‘onboard” new volunteers and interns
  • Sometimes help mentor interns and new volunteers
  • Support volunteers with their S.A.V.E. Social Impact Projects (save.servethecity.paris/capstone-project/)
  • Ensure and reinforce registration for participants/volunteers of a program
  • Update other Leadership Team members on weekly progress or challenges in the weekly meeting.
  • Help ensure volunteers are registered on our website, our ServeNow app and in our CRM database

You will need to:

  • Have had a past experience with volunteering and project management
  • Have excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
  • Be highly organised with excellent time-management skills
  • Be proactive and give attention to detail
  • Be curious and a desire to learn
  • Have at least professional level of proficiency in English
