On May 19th, Serve the City Paris gathered athletes and enthusiastic spectators alike in its first ‘STCP Olympics day’! The afternoon, in collaboration with partner associations and local community groups, featured sports from around the globe including boxing & muay thai, volleyball, ping pong, basketball, badminton, and of course, our regular weekly football tournaments. We were proud to see local residents from the Grange-aux-Belles community join with our volunteers and beneficiaries in learning new skills, making new friends, and breaking a sweat! We even had an elementary school football ground where children under 8 could safely have a tournament of their own.
Special thanks to all the STCP sports trainers, our volunteers, beneficiaries, and especially our partner associations at Alien Foot Paris 10 and La Maison Upcycling for their participation. We can’t wait to have the next ‘jour de sport’ soon!
